I started playing guitar around Christmas 2003, but have dreamt of playing all my life.  I would have started sooner, but was told by the music teacher [devil voice, slow and low] "you are horrid and are forbidden from playing any musical instruments... no go sit at the back of the room".

My motivation now is expression, healing, and bliss, oh and of course... love.

About the Name Technically Virgins...

The name, Technically Virgins, came from our friend Karen, who always though it would just be a fantastic name for a band.  It now clearly is.  The name can be interpreted in many ways... i like to think it means, each moment, we are reborn, or at least that possibility exists, virgins in an imposing world dominated by what we can see with rods and cones.  There is hope in the name, as well as the obvious erotic, playful, and mysterious undertones.  The incongruity between a masculine band and a feminine band name is also cool.
